That means the online path for Cass County jail mugshots starts by confirming the person in the jail PDF and then contacting the Sheriff's Records Division if a booking photograph is needed. Commercial mugshot sites are not official Cass County sources and should not be used as the authority for custody, charges, removal, or identity. The official sources are the jail roster, sheriff records, court records, Minnesota statutes, and state or federal custody locators where the person is not in Cass County jail custody.

Cass County Roster Photo Field

The Cass County public roster is useful because it can confirm a current booking record. It is also limited. The PDF inspected on June 18, 2026 had 32 records and no image field. Request Cass County Booking Photos

The official request route for a Cass County booking photo is the Sheriff's Records Division. The division maintains initial, investigative, and criminal files. It also handles incident reports and other records functions. No dedicated online booking-photo request form was found on the county records page, so the documented local route is to call or contact Records and identify the record clearly.

1. Check the jail register first to confirm the person is or was listed in Cass County custody.
2. Write down the name exactly as listed, the booked-on date and time, and the visible charge language.
3. Contact the Cass County Sheriff's Records Division at 218-547-7306 or the records supervisor at 218-547-7303.
4. State that the request is for a booking photograph, not just an incident report, court file, or criminal-history search.
5. Expect possible delay or withholding if release would harm an active investigation or if another data classification applies.

Public and Withheld Photos

A Cass County booking photograph can be public under Minnesota law and still not appear online. Public data status does not require the sheriff to post every photo in a gallery. Other roster facts are also limited. The PDF does not show DOB, race, sex, height, weight, bond, court date, housing unit, release date, or booking number. Cass County Mugshot Timing

The research did not locate a Cass County policy stating how long a booking photo remains public, how long a jail image is retained, or when a released person's photo would be removed from a public feed. The key local fact is that there is no official public booking-photo feed to track. The jail PDF can include long-running custody entries, but it is not a photo archive and is not limited to only same-day bookings.

For older booking photos, the Records Division route matters more than the public roster. A requester should be precise and should not assume that a released person will remain listed in the current jail register. Court records, case numbers, and incident report identifiers can help records staff distinguish one booking from another.

Remove Cass County Mugshots

Removal questions should be handled through official records and court processes, not paid third-party takedown offers. State and Federal Photos

State prison and federal custody are separate from Cass County jail mugshots. The MNDOC Locator covers adults committed to the Commissioner of Corrections and still under DOC jurisdiction.
